This is a skirt I made myself. It took me 3 attempts and finally I am happy with the way it fits me. I bought the fabric from Bolt of Cloth here in Christchurch. It's really a furnishing fabric but I loved the colour and design and also the weight of the cloth which is quite rigid and makes it sit in the A-line style.
I've had a bit of trouble deciding what to wear with it (any ideas??). This green t-shirt is just the right colour but I thought it was a bit plain so I tried the other singlet-y top over it.
I'm not convinced about it, maybe its too white with the cream of the skirt. What do you think?I am also wearing an accessory today!!
A shell bracelet which I think I bought at a shop in Dressmart.

I really like it! I like the singlet over the T-shirt, and the skirt is great! Your sewing skills must be coming along great! You suit light colours.
ReplyDeleteI love the butterflies! Gorgeous! I think the tops work perfectly :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love your skirt, you've done a beautiful job..
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! I would wear that outfit and particularly LOVE your skirt - you are so clever to have made it. The tops looks great together - that was one of my first thoughts - before I read your post. And the bracelet is so pretty - my baby Alice still tries to wreck any pretty pieces I wear like that :(
ReplyDeleteSo great to be able to wear dresses and skirts with the warmer weather - yah! :)
That skirt is really cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the singlet adds a bit of uniqueness to the outfit. I really like it! Definitely not too much of a white/cream clash : )
The singlet top over the t-shirt with that skirt looks really funky. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteit looks fab! and I love the bracelot!
ReplyDeleteYour skirt is truly beautiful, I mostly avoid bolt of cloth as that shop is very dangerous on my wallet!
ReplyDeleteI really like the skirt, it is really cool fabric :)
ReplyDeleteI *LOVE* the skirt!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your skirt too! And love looking through fabrics intended for curtains/ upholestery or whatever as well - my fav PJs which have just died after 6yrs were embossed satin from that section of Spotlight... I had to laugh reading your profile - you sound a lot like me.... I should put potato lover in my profile too! Your outfit so works and I'd definitely wear the whole thing as is too - well when I'd fit it again... :D
