My Blog In Print

I have recently published my blog posts into a book using blurb. The editing process took a while to get my head around and it took quite a bit of fiddling around to get my pages looking how I wanted them to. I only made use of some of the editing features (so as not to spend too much time on it!) so there's lots more you could do with fonts, layout, colours etc.
I was really pleased with the final product and I think it's pretty good value for money.

It's a good way to record some memories of what I was up to at this time in my life, some favourite recipes, milestones for the girls, special photos and fun times.

  1. Oh yay you did one! It is a lot of messing around but soo worth it. My Nan has mine at the moment as she isn't online and it is so nice to be able to share it. Yours looks gorgeous :)

  2. That looks so cool, I am very tempted! It also looks like a big job!! Perhaps I could do it over summer break when I'm not trying to fit in some study. Can't wait to see your book in real life next time we're down (and all of the family of course!!!) x

  4. I love this. I have been thinking about ways I could get my blog into 'hard-copy'. I might have a go at looking at this process. I'm with wordpress so I don't know if that would make it easier or harder. Did you have to export it bit by bit or in one big go?? I'd love to know how much time and how you went about it.... 7. Miriam, on the website it says you can use wordpress as well. It 'slurped' my whole blog at once. It was all in a default format so then you need to edit it to suit the number of photos on each page, the font and colour you like etc. It depends how fussy you are as to how long the editing takes. I just did mine bit by bit as you can save your changes as you go. It's quite fun and a proud feeling to know you have published your very own book!

  8. That's a really brilliant idea!! I would love to scan all of our old family photos and turn them into a book to give to my parents! A blog book is a really great idea. The pages look great!!

  9. What a great idea to turn something virtual into a physical copy to look at for years to come. Love it!
