When I was writing
this post about how passive toys promote active play I intended to add some photos to show the simple toys that my girls play with. Finally now, on this rainy day and with no other interesting news to share I am getting around to posting those photos.
I totally agree - what beautiful things to spark imaginations :)
ReplyDeleteI love it all - I wish I had stuck to more natural toys. We have so much plastic in this house :(
ReplyDeleteWe have a bit too unfortunately-mostly given by other people. Not everyone places the same value on these simplistic and natural type of toys. There are some great plastic toys out there too which do have their place but I reckon it pays to be selective.

ReplyDeleteLove these toys! What lucky girls... Yes, we have been gifted some bright/plastic/ghastly toys, some of which I've had to leave out as they are quite popular with the little lass, but others I tuck away until we've all forgotten about them and then pass them on! A bit naughty, but I share your toy philosophy so with small exceptions I try to keep our toy box uncluttered with plastic... Glad to see your wee one is better! That must have been very traumatising!
